The Hayti Heritage Film Festival (HHFF) begins today, March 6 at 10 a.m. with virtual screenings of documentaries and workshops. Beginning on Thursday, March 9, at 6 p.m. doors will open for the official “Opening Screening & Reception” for the award-winning film “The Inspection” at 804 Old Fayetteville Street Durham, NC 27701.
The Hayti Heritage Film Festival takes place during the first week of March every year and is one of the longest running Black, Southern film festivals in the nation.
This years theme “We Carry Them With Us.”

The Co-Directors of HHFF are Tyra Dixon and Lana Garland, two African American women who are dedicated to keeping the HHFF legacy of Black Southern Films and artists having a festival annually.
